I'm involved in project work, including completing calculations, drawings and documents required for project progression.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the combination of work and university learning. The team I am a part of are very friendly and help me wherever possible.

I have learnt a variety of digital designing systems, a variety of communication skills and mathematical knowledge required as a civil engineer.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Through my employer, I am completing IEng with the help of my Supervising Civil Engineer and Delegated Engineer. I am able to reach out to anyone on my team for help and advice on anything including work or university work.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have support from lecturers that I can reach out to through email when I'm not at university and have a University coordinator that checks on my progress at work with me and my line manager.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

A couple of the modules that I am completing as part of my course aren't currently relevant to my role, however, they provide information that is good to know as it might be relevant in the future.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a variety of sports teams that are joinable, networking events in the wider team approximately every 4 months and the chance to take volunteer days alongside other employees as a chance to give back to the community with others.
