Why?
A very positive environment, both in terms of the people and the office space. Everyone was approachable and genuinely friendly, which made it easy to settle in and feel supported. The support team was particularly strong with regard to the ACA qualification. In particular, the Learning and Development team was extremely supportive, helping me complete my training file requirements to a high standard and in a timely manner. He also provided valuable assistance with exam bookings and courses, and his support was greatly appreciated.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PKF Smith Cooper?
My main advice would be to be yourself throughout the application process and communicate openly. Taking the time to really understand what the role involves and what the professional qualification requires will help you demonstrate genuine interest and ensure the opportunity is a good fit for you. It’s also helpful to show a willingness to learn, ask questions, and reflect on how you can develop both technically and personally. Preparing examples of teamwork, adaptability, and motivation can go a long way, as PKF Smith Cooper values both professional competence and a positive attitude.
