Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The role is a training role. On a day to day basis you will find yourself conducting basic audit tests for various clients which entails selecting samples and verifying that their accounting treatment is correct.
Additionally, a large part of the role is also training which entails going to a college for tuition for roughly week long periods. This is in preparation for exams which are to be done alongside work during the duration of the role.
Finally, on a day to day basis you may find yourself engaging in training and personal skills development. This includes seeking feedback, and based on that feedback filling in your progress towards your professional skills.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program is challenging, however it is good as it allows you to get a taste of various different parts of audit in quite a short amount of time. The timing of exams are challenging but also positive as it front loads a lot of exams quite early which help you have less exam responsibility when the actual work responsibility increases.

I have learnt and developed several new skills, both technical and people skills. This is because this apprenticship places you in situations that enhance skills whilst providing support for when things go wrong

The program is highly structured and the expectations are very clearly expressed to us
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. They have many systems in place to ensure there are regular check ins and that I am well prepared for what is expected of me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive good support when working towards qualifications, however sometimes especially during busy periods it can be hard to balance work responsibilities with exam responsibilities.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification helps quite a lot due to the theoretical knowledge gained
