Overall, how would you describe your experience at Sayer Vincent?
I've really enjoyed my experience at Sayer Vincent so far. Everyone is friendly, supportive and always willing to help. There is a strong sense of purpose within the organisation, with everyone passionate about the charity sector.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I work closely with senior colleagues on charity audits, including sampling and testing financial statements. This involves engaging with clients to address queries and provide updates on the audit. I enjoy the client interaction, as it gives me the opportunity to understand how different charities operate and gain insight into their work from their perspective.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

On each audit, senior team members take the time to understand which areas I would like to develop, offering opportunities to improve my experience in different areas of testing. You are given responsibility early on, which helps build your skills and confidence

The job has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of accounting and audit. Alongside studying towards the ICAEW qualification, I feel like this role is perfect to progress my career within the industry.

Sayer Vincent always make sure that employees are well trained and supported. There is a strong emphasis on learning through collaboration, with opportunities to work closely alongside senior colleagues to develop both new and existing skills.

You are provided with a principle and buddy which organise regular catch ups to monitor how you are feeling and give you advice on any issues you may have. They recommend what you should do to keep improving your skills.

Due to working a full-time job and studying towards your exams its tough to have any free time especially when approaching exams.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Great atmosphere where everyone is positive and try to include people. Everyone is really welcoming and happy that new people are joining the company.
