Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently a semi-senior auditor. My role involves completing the majority of the audit fieldwork whilst liaising with both team members and clients to ensure smooth progression of the audit taking place. Additionally, I am responsible for ensuring the junior team members are capable of performing the task given to them. I will explain these tasks to them and support them throughout their work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the day to day tasks given to me in audit, it can get busy at periods which can be difficult however as a whole, the work is enjoyable and the experience and opportunities presented to me is valuable.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a wide variety of skills throughout my time in the role, ranging from improvements in soft skills such as communication where I have discussed audits with financial controllers and finance directors. Additionally, my level of accounting knowledge has seen vast improvements as I become more capable at the role and am able to carry out more complex levels of work. This is further developed by the ACA qualification which I am working to achieve.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured so that there is sufficient time to be able to complete appropriate levels of revision necessary to achieve the ACA qualification whilst also carrying out my work. Whilst this layout is good and reduces the stress of having to complete these exams around work hours, I find this to be too excessive and it could be more beneficial if the opportunity was available to complete multiple of these exams at once if requested.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

First intuition provide consistent private tutor support along with a detailed study book and the option to complete multiple mock exams in advance of the real exam to ensure you are prepared.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The ACA qualification links strongly to the day to day tasks carried out in Audit. The knowledge learnt in this qualification allows for more of an understanding around how to complete more complex tasks in the day to day role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
