Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I prepare management reports for a variety of clients and am also part of the Charities, Not for Profit and Education Sector. My tasks range from dealing with client queries over emails, Teams or phone calls to preparing commentary on management report packs I have prepared. I also get involved with VAT returns, bank reconciliations and other ad hoc tasks. All of this alongside my apprenticeship (CIMA)
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying the variety of work I am given along with the learning opportunities both in the workplace and on my apprenticeship
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am continuously developing my skills through CPD including webinars made available to the whole firm, which we are encouraged to sign up to regularly. I am developing my skills in management accounting which significantly aids my day to day duties

Very well organised and clear expectations from the outset
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I couldn't fault them for their support, especially during a difficult time at home - they went above and beyond to make sure I had the support needed to study and pass my exam
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The live online study days are very informative and are a huge help in my learning to prepare me for the exams. I haven't needed to contact my tutor outside of these live sessions but I know they are always available for support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It is giving me a better understanding and building on my knowledge to be able to provide a better service to clients and also to progress in the workplace
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - social activities are regularly arranged by our Social Committee (colleagues who have volunteered) and professional networking events are also circulated

Why?
Their whole ethos is fantastic - they are a great employer who really care about their staff. One of their mottos is 'work well, live well' - they offering a huge range of support both for work and personal reasons. Everyone is friendly, approachable and willing to help others. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. I have lost count the amount of people who have left and returned quite promptly, which says it all!
