My role consists of taking calls from clients we support. Troubleshooting, researching and resolving their technical issues. Additionally I can reach out to users who have emailed in reporting issues or queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the job as I entered it with no prior professional IT experience and the chance to learn and progress has been very fulfilling throughout my time here.

Talking to clients over the phone was a struggle before starting this job but I am now very confident in that regard.
I have learnt and refined countless technical skills and knowledge every day and am still learning new things as I go along.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have a half day slot once a week set aside for my self to be off the desk and calls, in which time I can focus on my apprenticeship tasks like coursework or revision which I appreciate.
The team work well together and times are structured well where we have many people in the office at the start of the week for the inevitable rush and later on in the week we have certain engineers doing site visits.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am provided constant support when needed, however personally I do not lean on it immediately as I feel this would be a detriment to my progression to use my team as a crutch instantly instead of working something out my self. However I know the team and managers are always there if I need them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training providers are always available and quickly reply to any emails and or queries I may have. They frequently offer to schedule teams calls for anything more serious or complicated also.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training I have been given from my provider has been invaluable and often allows me to apply knowledge and skills I didn't have previously to calls and tickets presented to me. I have noticed my decision making and troubleshooting speed has increased drastically following all my training days.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The business is a well organised, supportive and refined team that work well and are always striving to develop both itself, and its staff where possible.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to ITRM Ltd?
I don't feel I have the knowledge to answer this question. Though I can say I was accepted with no prior professional experience as an apprentice and have flourished since joining.
