Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
I work front of house hospitality, my manager let us know we can do apprenticeships to climb the ladder in our careers so a few of us have done so, we are not only learning new things like jow to run a shift but to also do our job better.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I enjoy the program as I’m learning as I earn, it’s difficult at times to balance work life home life and then apprenticeship life but over all it’s a great way to learn as your managers teach you everything you need to know on the job, they are there 24/7 for support throughout and then you also get your learning coach to help get you through it too so overall there’s a lot of support which makes it easier to navigate through.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I’ve learnt how to do kitchen checks and sign the paper work, I’ve learnt how to do refunds correctly and take off discounts and re add them in! My managers have shown me how to turn on tills and take them off correctly on the night, I’ve been shown how to cash up, although I will need more practice with that!

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
I think the programme is well organised, my learning coach is always on the go and is constantly checking in which is nice to see! Only down side is sometimes the programme asks the same questions now and again but other than that I think it is set up easy and if you struggle at all the learning coach is there to help!

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
My employer is always available to talk and even when he is busy, he makes time to fit me in and answer any questions I have! He goes out of his way to show me new things and makes sure I walk away knowing which is the right way!

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
My training provider always makes sure I have what I need, she is always checking in and making sure I’m doing ok and not just work wise she makes sure I’m feeling ok and is confident in what I’m doing!

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
As silly as it sounds, she always gives great feedback and if you doubt yourself in the slightest she points out all the things you are doing well in and tells you to just slowly work on the things you are unsure about and that alone, is enough to feel respected and valued for trying to progress.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
Now and again we do charity fundraising for MacMillan and do coffee and cake mornings for staff to bake and get together and do something meaningful

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Lifetime Training Group Limited to a friend?

Yes

Why?

It’s the best decision I have made, I always wanted to progress in my career but was worried I’d loose out on money and time but doing it through your work means you have enough support to last you a life time, it’s endless! Great support, great opportunities and a great result at the end!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lifetime Training Group Limited?

Only tip I would give is to not be afraid to ask for help, and try and stay ahead of your work! If you fall behind it’ll be harder to catch up come the summer months when you are working a lot more! So stay ahead if you can and don’t be afraid to ask 1000 questions because that is what your managers are there for!
