My role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor involves supporting the commercial management of construction projects from pre‑contract through to final account. I assist with cost planning, take‑offs and procurement, helping ensure works are delivered within budget. I prepare and review valuations, variations and subcontractor payments, maintaining accurate cost records throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with site teams, designers and senior surveyors, I help manage risk, monitor cash flow and support contractual compliance. The role develops my technical, commercial and communication skills while contributing to value for money and successful project delivery across diverse sectors and fast‑paced environments nationwide projects.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
