Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Balfour Beatty is striving to make sure I get the best out my apprenticeship with many opportunities for training and development. I feel that there chance for me to get the exposure I need is there if am willing and able to grab it. I don't know if any other company is able to give to the level that Balfour Beatty can
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It does feel difficult to balance the programme with my work but I feel this is more a personal stress balance that I need to do rather than a fault of Balfours

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt time management, stress management. I feel my confidence has developed quite substantially since I came into this role. It has promoted critical thinking and the ability to come forward with solutions, even if they're not the right ones

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There is a clearly thought out path for my job role, and the programme has given me the chance to find my feet before it has introduced further learning. It feels like the right time to be furthering my development and I now have up and coming courses these next few months
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
If I need help it is there if I ask. Alot of the time its just knowing how and when to ask
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I get one day a week specifically for my course. I am confident if I felt I needed more time or help Balfour's would do what they can to help
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It has given me some knowledge that I have been able to apply to my current role and really see that come to to life. Alot of the stuff I am learning isnt strictly applicable to my current role as it is for different sectors (civils rather than highways) but I am enjoying learning all the same.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of networking events, volunteering events and also social events that are put on in my project if I want to.
