Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a typical day, my job is to ensure that the projects I am involved in are aligned with their schedule by ensuring each task is being completed when it should. It also includes occasional customer meetings where I have to present updates such as new risks/opportunities/challenges. I need to ensure that timelines are accurate as it can cost the business in resources and affect our reputation with customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
There are always new challenges that arise each day meaning that my job role is not repetitive and boring. My team is extremely supportive and understand my limited knowledge and experience in the industry so are always willing to assist me in my struggles.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed both soft and hard skills so far in my apprenticeship. Key skills include communication, teamwork and problem solving. I have also had lots of experience with Microsoft Project and increasing exposure to Microsoft Excel formulas.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My work week is split into 4 days working and 1 day studying towards my degree. This gives me time in my week to allocate to university learning and assignment completion. I have been slowly introduced into my job role and the responsibilities that it brings and have not been in situations where I feel overly stressed or uncomfortable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My team is extremely supportive with my work as they understand my limited knowledge and experience in the industry. I also have early career specialists that are able to assist me with any questions or struggles I have. They introduced me into my team and consistently check in with my to make sure I am alright and enjoying my apprenticeship. They are always available and happy to help me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My university experience has been very good since the start of my apprenticeship. There is a weekly webinar that is held which covers topics in the module as well as assignment help. We have 2 on campus sessions each term which gives me chance to meet my module leaders and classmates. I would like more on campus days as I feel the lessons are more engaging than the webinars.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My training provider gives me a good base of knowledge to use in my job role and the quizzes and assignments I have to complete give me confidence that my understanding of different topics is beneficial to my job. So far we have covered some niche areas of my module (financial and marketing) and I think it would be helpful if we covered broader topics earlier to give us a greater understanding of the whole module rather than in-depth knowledge of nicher modules.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes my work has many opportunities for me to connect with employees and contribute further in the business. Some of these include charity events and games as well as Christmas events and celebrations for company wide achievements.
