Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Since joining Balfour Beatty in Janaury 2026, i have been involved with many projects in the business improvement team, i have visited different sites, started a Lean course, Joined the EC program and became an EC Lead.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy working for Balfour Beatty, i am continousley learning each day and everyday is a new day .

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since joining BB i have developed new skills with having stronger communication skills, building my confidence for presenting and having the best support.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The EC Program is very organised and beneficial for the Early careers ( Apprentices and graduates). It has been great meeting people on the teams calls.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive strong support from my employer, my manager is very supportive and helps me learn each day and guides me with my tasks, as well as helps build up my knowledge of the construction industry and key tasks.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I start my degree in september this year, but so far i have had support and guidance on a course i am doing in the lean team.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The Lean ISO18404 course I am currently completing is helping me perform better in my job role as it helps build up my knowledge and i am able to apply the coursework and tasks i have learnt to projects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have the corporate games which is a great way to build up relationships, stronger teams and great team work.

It is a great company to work for with strong support from your managers, colleagues and mentors. The EC Program to is a brilliant way of helping young people learn on the job, and build up new connections when they have left university/college.
