Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis I handle motor claims from cradle to grave, which I like as even as an apprentice you are trusted and given great responsibility and treated equally to everyone else.
Additionally support is always given when needed or asked for and Protector Insurance is a very proactive company too at identifying where help can be given and extra training sessions are put on.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I extremely enjoy my program and working every day, I feel this pathway is better as you are learning while working additionally and gaining valuable experience

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skills have developed extremely well, this is through speaking to people and learning about the insurance world, it has also developed my confidence

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is extremely well structured and organised, you always know when your apprenticeship time will be and always have tasks to complete
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They help support us a lot, you are given an afternoon every week to focus on your apprenticeship however this is flexible and if you require more time you are able to have it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support and feedback and time every week to stop work and action my feedback and develop my learning
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that it helps me understand the insurance style language to a better standard
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes we are playing in a CII football tournament and there are networking events that happen often too
