Really enjoyed it, been able to get straight into work, everyone is nice and I get along with everyone.

- Invoice paying, and queries.
- Produce a workflow/ flow chart for Invoice query processes.
- Public sector procurement compliance for standardisation of products. This was for the pricing schedule.
- Learning how to use estimating tools and how to estimate a project. – Includes take off and BOQ (Bill Of Quants)

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the start was a little random, just told to sort out mandatory training and then got into work 2nd week in. I know many people that it took 2 months to even start a job, so its not that structured as much as you would want.
Also there is no job rotation plan so you can be on the same job for your entire apprenticeship

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get lots of support, great line managers that help to make sure that everything is sorted when I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get a lot of support, but I think just the structure of how I get the information given is not optimised and sometimes I wish it was better planned.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt much more working with my company than what my university has provided me - My company teaches me lots, the university helps basic understanding but not much that actually helps me with my job or its stuff I have already understood.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am on the RICS Birmingham Committee board - hosting networking events and more.
within Arcadis they have many social events, activites and more which is great to get to know more within the company I am at. I have also been able to take part and get involved in holding these events.

Great atmosphere, great work life balance, you get loads of support, they actually want to make sure you enjoy yourself and want the best for you career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis?
Make sure you create a good linkedin platform, make yourself have a good personal brand.
Try get as much experience before applying.
In the applications try your best - don't be too out there but don't be shy find a good balance, ask questions, be collaborative with others.
