Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My current role involves learning and running the various machines in the Pilot Plant- UHT, Retort, Rice etc. On top of this, I am required to maintain stock levels for NPD Trials, liaise with the main factory to secure materials, maintain cleaning/ hygiene standards whilst working on my apprenticeship and university modules.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the job for now, but will look to change jobs on completion of my apprenticeship due to lack of progression within the role. I enjoy the Uni course and find my manager and department very supportive with allowing me time to complete my studies.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Premier Foods to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would to a degree as I feel it is a supportive environment, however I don't think it is the best overall for long term progression and the pay is not great in comparison to other companies.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Premier Foods?
Make sure you ask for support if you need it/ ask for extra time to complete your studies.
