Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a site engineer my role is to oversee any works happening on my project. This includes aspects of health and safety and setting out/ surveying, as well as setting people to work. I am also involved in the design of certain aspects of the project. There is also an aspect of Quality which involves record keeping as well as creating quality documents to control the quality of works on site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme a lot due to the variety of works I will be carrying out. No two days are the same. My company is very supportive with my studies also. They are also a very good company to work for, for work life balance and supporting my personal life.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am constantly learning new things with the experience I am gaining as well as the studies that go alongside this. My skills have developed especially with setting out/ surveying and quality documentation records.

Very well. It is clearly sets out the expectations and requirements for the length of the programme and where I should be progressing.

The employer is very supportive in multiple aspects such as personal life, with my studies, and being able to gain as much experience as possible.

5/5
The training provider is very supportive motivating everyone to their highest potential.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It gives me the basic knowledge of my industry and specifically civil engineering. This allows me to build off of this with my experience in the workplace which broadens my knowledge even further.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
One of the things I participate in at my work place is the Early Careers Programme. This programme connects apprentices and graduates across the business for social events and networking. This also involves online sessions and residentials to be able to gain leadership and team work skills which is then applied to the general work place.
