Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Software testing, I currently test new features before implementation to make sure they function as expected and also handle errors appropriately too. This can involve a lot of context switching between different projects which can be a little difficult to navigate when new to the industry, but there is plenty support to assist with that transition.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much, I've met some lovely people so far on the journey and I'm excited to make the most of what this opportunity offers me.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills since starting, I've learnt to write fairly basic code in Java and Python, I've also learnt a good amount about SQL and how to use it to manipulate databases. I've also learnt how to software test APIs with multiple languages. I am also in the process of learning how to test front end too.

The programme is fairly well structured, everything that has been raised as an issue or concern has been dealt with promptly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive, they run additional sessions to help with assignments at university, offer study days if needed and also have regular check ins to check on me and see how I'm doing and offer any support as appropriate.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a good amount of support from my training provider. They have always been quick to help and fast to remedy solutions to any concerns we've had.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Currently, not very much. However that is because there is little to no crossover between my academic studies and my day to day work currently. I am aware this will change later in my course, where I think it will be hugely relevant and beneficial to either my current role or whichever role I hold at the time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a plethora of extra curricular activities and groups to be involved in. From groups dedicated to apprentices and graduates, to sports and social, to LGBTQ+, to mental health and plenty of professional networking events.

Why?
Its a brilliant company to work for with plenty of benefits. Its filled with lovely people and plenty friendly faces to help through your journey. Hybrid working is another benefit, 3 days in office, two days remote.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
Research the company and what they do, spend plenty time preparing for your interview scenarios and maybe do a practice run through with friends or family.
