I help manage the technical side of housing developments from the design stage through to construction. A big part of my job is making sure drawings, designs, and approvals are in place so sites can run smoothly and without unnecessary issues.
I work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and local authorities, helping coordinate designs and chase approvals such as building regulations and warranty requirements. This involves reviewing drawings, picking up potential issues early, and making sure everything is practical and compliant before work starts on site.
I also support site teams day to day by answering technical queries, issuing updated drawings, and helping resolve design-related problems that come up during the build. The role requires good communication and problem-solving skills, as I’m often linking different teams together to keep things moving.

I’ve been given real responsibility, exposure to live projects, and the chance to work with experienced people who are willing to help and share their knowledge. It’s a good environment for building confidence and developing practical skills in construction.
