Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Following a 2-day Consulting 101 workshop, we started on a pro-bono strategy consulting project focused on redesigning the client's business and operating models. Each day there were insight sessions held to expose us to the various functions and areas of the firm. Interviews with clients had to be arranged as well as cross-team meetings for wider scope. There was also time allotted to focus on self-development and training with access to vast number of resources.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The recruitment team did a really really good job illustrating the various functions and roles within the company and made it very clear that as graduate analysts we have the freedom to network into a function or industry of our choosing. Having exposure to the network we were interested in alongside gaining valuable insights was a great way to see where each function sits within Accenture.

Company Culture

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight
3/5
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Culture is great, everyone is super friendly and helpful despite always being busy with work.
I say down for lunch alone on my first day and someone say with me to have a chat over lunch - I'd never spoken to this person before but we had a lengthy chat over lunch and I learn so about them and their role.
Everyone is always willing to offer great advice - I was assigned side of desk work based on my interests from having coffee machine chats or chats over lunch.
There is such an amazing pool of talent to access & we are really encouraged to make the most of it.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
Really enjoyed the insight.
There was little to fault about this internship structure.
There were interesting challenges which subsequently may have led to late nights but that's all part of the challenge. The team I was assigned to were all super friendly and I felt welcome from the very first day.
Because the recruitment was so diverse I felt like I had made friends who I could speak to beyond this internship. In addition the team were inclusive of my cultural/religious needs.
