At college I learn a lot in the class theory as well as working in the workshop to do practical learning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme I am in however it sometimes feels quite long being in the class without being very busy like I would at work.

I’ve developed a lot of skills at college learning about how the vehicles operate which helps with the process of diagnosing, assembling and disassembling vehicles.

It is very organised within the college with pre set blocks which all focus on specific areas mandatory to know as a technician.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive good support from my employer who can help me if I have any issues or queries about my college progress.

They show me a lot due to their past experience in working the same or very similar career.

It is a good trade to get into and the college programme is significantly better than many other places.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DAF Trucks UK?
It is a well paying job once qualified however requires much energy and the learning programme is good.
