Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an apprentice, I am constantly experiencing new challenges and learning for different teams in the HR department. I assist in DBS checks, advertising online, ect... all of which are great opportunities for me to learn and develop my skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Everyone has been welcoming and encouraging of my apprenticeship. I believe Sandwell Council wants all of us to succeed and build our future careers with them. The course itself is positively challenging and the tutors are available whenever we need help and there teach clear and helpful workshops.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I am new to HR or an admin role, so most of what I am learning is new to me. However, skills such as team work are easily improved and developed through collaboration.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme has a clear structure and I have constantly been kept in the loop with when things will be happening and future meetings/plans/work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from SMART and Sandwell Council. My manager and team have been very encouraging of my apprenticeship and available to help me where needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
SMART and my tutor have been very supportive throughout my apprenticeship, so far, and have been available when I need them. My assignments are marked quickly and the workshops are useful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Having the clear guidance and expectations from my training provider has helped me to complete work and learn skills that will allow me to gain my HR qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
