Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Mon-Thurs working within the commercial rail plant team helping with the machinery expenses part of the business. A lot of forecasting and excel work to make sure all of our shifts we are getting paid for and any extras.
Fri would be my university day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The business is fantastic and a great place to work. I am defiantly open to moving about the business to gain new skills from different sectors.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Learnt a lot about Excel as never used this in previous job roles and a lot of financial skills as well. I have probably learnt more in my day to day job then what I have learnt at University so far

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Clear lay out and a lot of input from the business towards the young apprentices and graduates who are all fully supported.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support everyone higher up int he business always asks for apprentice input as they can offer a different outlook to things especially if new to the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
University is probably the only downside to the apprenticeship as its all online and quite hard to learn from compared to when in a classroom.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Its quite hard to say as iv only started but a lot of what I learn at uni has nothing to do with my day to day job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Been invited to loads of networking events and regularly attend these to get to know others within the business.
