Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role focuses on understanding business needs and helping deliver improvements that make our processes, systems, and customer experience more efficient. On a day‑to‑day basis, I work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, map processes, analyse data, and identify opportunities for change. I support project teams by translating business problems into clear, actionable solutions and ensuring that any changes are aligned with our wider transformation goals. My work also involves facilitating workshops, documenting findings, and helping ensure new processes or systems are implemented successfully.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It gives me the chance to develop my skills while gaining hands‑on experience in real transformation projects that make a meaningful impact across the organisation. The mix of practical learning, exposure to different teams, and opportunities for personal growth keeps the programme engaging and rewarding. I feel supported in my development and motivated by the variety of work and the positive culture within Severn Trent.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt some new tools and techniques which have helped me develop my existing skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well organised and clearly structured. My provider uses a clear portal where all activities, deadlines and requirements are laid out in advance, which makes it easy to track my progress. Regular 1:1s are scheduled ahead of time, and all courses and workshops are booked in advance. I always know what is expected of me and which tasks I need to complete by when, which makes the whole programme feel really manageable and supportive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have access to guidance when I need it, but majority of support is provided by my provider. In Severn Trent people are generally willing to help me balance my apprenticeship commitments with my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I feel very supported by my training provider. I have an assigned mentor who gives me timely feedback and useful materials, which makes achieving my qualification far easier. We have regular 121s but if I need any support outside of the designated time I can reach out for additional support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification has been extremely helpful in improving how I work as a Business Analyst. It reinforces best practice, gives me useful tools and frameworks, and helps me apply more structure and confidence to my day‑to‑day role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
