West Midlands Police and my line managers have been incredibly supportive. They ensure I have the dedicated time for my off-the-job training and provide opportunities at work to apply and develop the new skills I have learned.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provided is fantastic; the workshops are really engaging, and the monthly one-to-one sessions ensure I have everything I need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

West Midlands Police have loads of extra-curricular activities, we have a large Sports & Wellbeing clubs that offer a range of activities from walking clubs to Rugby teams.

They are a fantastic employer with a wealth of opportunities. Over the last few years, they have demonstrated a clear commitment to investing in and developing their people, with apprenticeships being a prime example of this. Due to the diverse range of roles within policing, there are always opportunities to progress or even transition into a new area within the force. Additionally, benefits such as the pension scheme provide valuable long-term security
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to West Midlands Police?
West Midlands Police can truly be an employer for life. Even if the 'perfect' job isn't available right now, I’d encourage anyone to find a role that interests them and apply; once you are in, the opportunities to progress and find your ideal career path are endless.
