Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Within my role I was based a lot on the shop floor a lot of the time. Day to day tasks include working with the improvements coordinator. I learnt a lot along the way about logistic processes from the very start to the end. I had multiple projects across the year from packaging to helping with a new project launch.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given large responsibility. This responsibility grew over the year once I was able to prove myself and showed where my strong points were. This ultimately led me to leading my own projects with a team helping me.

Yes, key skills I have developed/learnt include: communication, time management, people management, flexibility, decision making and I have also been very creative across the year. These are just a few of the skills I developed/learnt over the past 12 months.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received large support across my placement within my department. This was because I worked very closely with people in the office, along with my manager who supported me and gave advice over the 12 months.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Within my office everyone looked out for each other at all times, especially when they needed support. The team moral was always kept high through tough times. However, I feel like at points the workers who are working very hard and going above and beyond aren't appreciated enough.
