Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a business admin apprentice on a rotation programme, I have the oppurtunity to rotate around different functions of the business on this specific project. So far, since my start in September, I have rotated through the Logistics department, and now working within the Land & Property management team. Throughout these rotations, I have been fortunate enough to be unconditionally supported by my colleagues and managers.
In my current department, Land & Property, it has been an eye-opener to what really can go on in the construction industry. It is not a common role on these types of projects, so it is rewarding me with a very unique skillset which I am picking up from experience on the job. Day-to-day tasks as an administrator mainly consists of shadowing my rotation manager, and picking up from him when workload can become too heavy. This makes my time in the rotation interesting, by looking at every aspect of the department, and not just managing spreadsheets.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The opportunity to rotate throughout departments on the project is supreme, leaving me with an insight into many faucets of the job once my apprenticeship programme is up. In my opinion, this programme is great for a school leaver like myself, unsure of what future job may be for them. And as a bonus, I have thoroughly enjoyed each of my rotations!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Administration tasks have definitely improved my skillset, on and offline. I have upskilled myself in the ability of using basic IT applications like Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook, which is a great base skillset to have. On top of this, my overall communication through these apps and in-person has improved, with day-to-day conversation and communication with colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
From the onboarding process to the 6 month check-in and performance reviews, the programme is very well structured to ensure I, as an apprentice, am very looked after and supported in all decisions and actions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line manager is always happy to help no matter the amount of concern I have with my question. There are many support portals, such as 24/7 Employee Assistance Portals to aid me at any time with any situations. The company is advanced in their HR ability, and have many employee aids available to be used as we please, whenever needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My college are in frequent contact with me, and deliver a 'Learner Support Group Session' with the rest of my apprentice cohort. They are also available to contact if I have any issue, and also offer access to student helplines.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification and learning I follow out as a part of my college work has an adequate amount of relation to my daily operations, but there is sometimes things covered in my workplace which would not be covered by the provider. This is to be expected, and this is part of the reason I do an apprenticeship - to learn on the job through experience,
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is many project networks to socialise with many groups on the project , with different personal hobbies and backgrounds. As the project grows, charity events are becoming more common and frequent, such as charity football matches and gym challenges.
