4, I feel I'm learning the knowledge and theory so that I can apply this knowledge in the practical setting

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to read engineering drawings and use the surveying equipment to set out. I have improved my communication skills because I am on a large project I have to converse with a number of different teams on a daily basis to complete works.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have one day a week where I do my college work from home and I feel I am also supported to have enough time when needed to work on my assignments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel I am supported in my apprenticeship, if there is ever any issues I may face I know who I can speak to at Balfour's and I have always received the help I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do an online college course one day a week with Learning Skills Partnership and if there is any issues outside of this day I can speak with my tutor to receive feedback or help. So I'd say the support is enough.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I do an online college course one day a week with Learning Skills Partnership and this is well structured to provide me with the knowledge I need to use on site on a daily basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there is walks with the team, Padel competitions, quiz nights and opportunities for networking at events and more.
