Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Attending events at schools
Attending job clubs in one of the six towns of Sandwell and helping clients with job search support.
Helping advisors with briefing sessions to promote and help those apply to apprenticeships within Sandwell Council and around Sandwell.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have gained creative skills. I have improved on my pre existing skills such as time management, organisational skills and listening skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
We also have a database where we upload clients to the database we use on a daily basis. We upload interventions to each individual record on what support the individual received at their local job club.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
My employer being Sandwell Council uploads training for me and Sandwell council members of staff to complete in terms of GDPR, data protection act and Safeguarding training.
There is also policies put in place such as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to implement that the clients we work with and Sandwell staff each get an equal opportunity but also to be treated in accordance to their needs whether that will be a physical or mental health condition.
