Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role consists of a 18 month rotation around 3 departments within covea. The first 6 months involved dealing with motor claims and going through the process with customers to resolve there claims or any issues faced along the way. The 2nd 6 month rotation involves me dealing with broker customer service and responding to broker queries throughout. The final 6 months will involve me going into a customer facing role again and dealing with home insurance claims. All this happens before myself and management decide which department will best suit my skills and attributes that i have developed
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the programme because it exposes me as many different management styles and how different people operate differently and learning how i could gain these sort of characteristics as a result. Having as much exposure to the business also does not limit me to a certain department and has allowed for my knowledge to improve significantly

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My skills in time management and organisation have definitely been enhanced throughout the process so far as it has enable me to understand what working in a fast paced office is like. I have also gained skills since i started working at covea, one would be more of a leadership skill as we are given the opportunity to run meetings and events where needed internally and having a good relationship to senior managers to show the progression opportunities available

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
initially the organisation was lacked and some persistence from the apprentices was needed so that we could then have a solid structure in place. However now ths has been implement, the programme is running effectively and it is clear to see how we can then progress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support received by the employer is perfect, with monthly meetings with mentors and then the flexibility to put in place any additional support if required can be arranged and then our managers allowing us the opportunities for our study days to be implemented correctly and efficiently is really beneficial to the course
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support received from the training provider is beneficial however sometimes needs to be quicker. Although the feedback is constructive and helps to improve our assignments, overall this is something that a quciker response is sometimes more beneficial
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like it has been beneficial so far as i can see how theories are interlinked within my role and how looking at the overview for the course can enhance and develop my knowledge with in the workplace as well
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I get involved in running engagement activities with in the office and this involves carrying events out that can keep the office entertained and something different from our day to day roles
