Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Business Analyst, my role is all about understanding how the organisation works and helping teams improve the way they do things. On a day‑to‑day basis I gather information from colleagues, analyse processes, identify issues or inefficiencies and help shape clearer ways of working.
This often involves writing documentation, mapping out current and future processes, supporting decision‑making and ensuring that requirements are understood by both the business and technical teams.
I work closely with stakeholders across different areas, so communication, problem‑solving and asking the right questions are a key part of my job. My role also involves breaking down complex information into clear, structured outputs that others can use. Overall, I help make sure that changes are well‑understood, aligned to business needs, and add real value.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I’ve really enjoyed the programme and would rate it highly. It gave me a solid structure to develop my skills and the confidence to apply BA tools and techniques in real situations. The mix of theory, practical tasks and support from tutors made it engaging and relevant to my everyday work. It has genuinely helped me grow professionally and has opened up new opportunities in my role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, the programme has helped me develop a wide range of skills. I’ve strengthened my core Business Analysis abilities, including process mapping, requirements gathering and analysing problems in a structured way.
I’ve also improved my communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, especially when explaining complex information clearly. The programme introduced me to new tools, techniques and frameworks that I now use confidently in my day‑to‑day role.
Overall, it has increased my professionalism, broadened my toolkit and helped me approach my work with much more clarity and confidence.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was well‑organised and followed a clear structure from start to finish. I always knew what was expected at each stage.
The combination of workshops, assignments and practical application made the learning flow naturally. The milestones and deadlines were manageable alongside my full‑time role and the content built progressively to support my development. Overall, the structure helped keep me on track and made the apprenticeship feel purposeful and achievable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received excellent support from my employer throughout the programme.
My manager and colleagues were understanding of the time commitments involved and encouraged me to apply what I was learning in meaningful ways. I was given protected study time, opportunities to practise new skills and regular check‑ins to make sure I was progressing well. Their backing made a big difference to my confidence and success.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider offered strong support during my apprenticeship. Tutors were approachable, knowledgeable and quick to respond when I needed guidance. The feedback on assignments was clear and constructive and the workshop sessions were well delivered. I always felt like help was available if I was unsure about anything and the support played a big part in helping me complete the programme successfully.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification has made a significant difference to how I work. It gave me a solid grounding in Business Analysis techniques, tools and ways of thinking that I now use every day. I feel more structured, more confident and better equipped to communicate clearly with stakeholders. The apprenticeship didn’t just give me knowledge, it genuinely improved the quality of my work and has helped me grow into the role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond your day‑to‑day role.
There are wellbeing initiatives, charity activities and employee‑led networks that colleagues can join. These help create a supportive workplace culture and give people the chance to connect with others across the organisation that may be in a similar position or to educate themselves on other settings. Being part of these activities adds a positive, inclusive dimension to working life.

Would you recommend Covea Insurance to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Covéa Insurance because it’s a supportive and people‑focused place to work. The culture is friendly and colleagues are always willing to help each other. There are good opportunities to develop professionally, whether through formal training, apprenticeships, or learning on the job (as I've been fortunate to do both).
Flexibility and work‑life balance are valued, which makes a real difference day-to-day. Overall, it’s an organisation where you feel trusted, included and encouraged to grow.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Covea Insurance?
My main advice would be to show genuine interest in learning and be open to developing new skills. Covéa Insurance values people who are collaborative, curious and willing to get involved.
Demonstrating that you can work well with others and communicate clearly will help you stand out. It’s also helpful to research the company’s values and understand how they approach customer service and teamwork. Finally, be yourself; the culture is welcoming and they appreciate authenticity.
