Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves working in the Underwriting Team which will be on the lines speaking to existing and prospective customers. I will make a decision if the risk is within our appetite and charge the customer appropriately. I also have further responsibilities which preclude being in the 'Inspiring Colour' group which ensures a voice for everyone is provided for everyone. Additionally, I help out with recruitment events to provide answers to questions from a perspective of an apprentice.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy the programme, the company has ensured that we have rotations between departments every six months to have a flavour and a core understanding of the business. However, I would like to also note that the programme at University provides accessible coursework with projects that are relevant at work.

I have managed to experience report writing, public speaking and strong capabilities in Underwriting and Claims.
