Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role includes, inputting referrals received from NHS outlook, on the CRM system to log the cases under residents of Sandwell, carrying out follow up calls to gain feedback from residents who were referred to services, attend health promotion events around Sandwell and attending meetings for Public health updates.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the programme, it allowed me to develop my skills, be part of new opportunities, and work as a team to complete projects.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a range of new skills, as I have become more confident taking phone calls, and developing my personality, building a good customer rapport. It has allowed me to develop on my organisational skills, team working skills, planning and making decisions independently. I have learnt how to develop my active listening skills when speaking to clients, and being a problem solver too.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is organised, and structured due to the team planning to focus on inputting referrals first, to understand recording referrals, and then when I was understanding the correct procedure, I was allocated follow up calls to develop my customer service relationship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received a lot of support from my employer, where I have monthly or weekly catchups with my manager and senior leader to help develop my skills, and improve my confidence on phone calls, by scheduling time with members of the team to shadow and practice carrying out follow up calls.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received a lot of support from my training provider, as they were quick to respond to emails where I was unsure about certain pieces of work. I had teams calls with my assessor to support me with how to manage work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel my qualification I've achieved gives me the confidence in my ability to demonstrate excellent customer service experience and encourages me to constantly keep my knowledge of customer service and uphold the duties of the council.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The service culture is very supportive, its an excellent place to learn and work with a supportive team to help their team members improve and develop their skills. The One Team framework helps collaborative working.
