Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker Review

I gave 5 stars because this is my first apprenticeship and my first time working at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. It has been a really good experience for me. Sometimes I think I should have applied earlier because I saw this apprenticeship on the Trust website many times before but it is never too late. I am very happy that I started this journey and I will do my best in this role.
I have learned many good things during this time. Learning in the classroom before doing the real work is very helpful. When I practise the same things at work, it helps me remember and understand much better. It also helps me build my skills and confidence. My team is very kind and supportive, and they are always willing to help.
Overall, this apprenticeship means a lot to me. As a person from Thailand, it is not always easy to find a good opportunity like this. I feel very grateful to be part of this apprenticeship team. This opportunity has changed my life in a positive way. I do not know how to say thank you enough to the Trust for giving me this opportunity. I really appreciate it. If there were 100 stars, I would happily give them all.

The programme is well organised and I receive good support from my team and tutors. Sometimes I need to resubmit my assignments because I write in my own style, but I understand the assessor’s requirements and try to adjust my writing. Repeating the work helps me remember and understand things better

I receive very good support from my employer. I will never forget when my manager allowed me to go to Thailand to see my mother who was not very well. I really appreciate their kindness.

I receive very good support from the education team. I often see them in the hospital and they always ask if I need any help. I cannot wait to receive my Care Certificate so I can learn more skills.

What I learn from my training helps me understand my role better and perform my work with more confidence.
