Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Whilst working at PI the role was varied from day to day due to a lot of different factors, but it was wide spread across different departments and always used different skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I think the programme was enjoyable. The content has definitely helped me develop in my career overall and it was fairly simple to complete.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. Having worked in hospitality for a few years before doing the apprenticeship, it was definitely developing on existing skills rather than learning new skills. A lot of what was taught I already knew at a base level, but the apprenticeship built on my knowledge and helped me to highlight areas that needed improvement... especially in regards to management specific skills like communication with staff in difficult situations.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well but I did appreciate the ability to go faster than the planned deadlines as I'm a fast learner, and do not like being held back when I'm on a roll.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Less so Whitbread themselves, but my managers at both premier inns I worked at during the course were incredibly helpful in answering questions and allowing me certain responsibilities in order to
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I'm a pretty independent learner, but my supervisor went above and beyond to ensure I was doing okay. He has been and continues to be available to help at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I would get a little hung up on wording or a specific subject would catch me off guard and he would guide me through it in a way that is easy to understand. It helps that he is very personable and approachable, honestly couldn't have asked for a better trainer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The deeper understanding of what is expected of me is vital in my new position as Duty Manager at a different company, so I'd say it really helps...especially if you're driven by ambition to go further in your chosen career path.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Only charity events and things like pride, which I went to almost every year I was with Whitbread.

Why?
I would and I have because there is a great deal of support available to you. As well as this, all of the coaches I've interacted with other than my own, were also quality so I know I didn't just "get lucky".
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lifetime Training Group Limited?
If you're doing a hospitality apprenticeship with them, make sure you and your employer know exactly how much time you should be being given on the clock to complete your work. Also operate on a "if you don't ask, you won't get" basis when you need support. Remember they're there to help you...USE THEM. (and all the resources they provide specifically to help you).
