Management Intern Review

My role involved learning about every aspect of the business from Risk management to Vehicle Repair, Human Resources and Customer service management. Each day would begin with a morning meeting with all colleagues, we’d discuss previous days, the day ahead and any goals we hope to achieve for this day. This allowed everyone to be set up and ready for the day ahead. Throughout the day we would deal with customers for check-ins, returns and on the phone whilst juggling admin tasks, marketing, and learning about the business as a whole. It was a very fast paced environment particularly in the summer but there was always so much to do and learn.

Yes, from the beginning the emphasis on taking initiative and responsibility was highlighted. By the end of my placement I was able to run the day smoothly without the presence of higher management.

I developed a lot of skills within admin and computing that have really helped me in every day life. But more importantly my ability to work with a team as well as manage a team has greatly improved. My customer service skills and communication have developed tremendously.

A lot from both my placement colleagues and my placement supervisors from the university. There was always someone to reach out to.

It was a great atmosphere, everyone genuinely wanted to help each together and loved the job which made it such an easy and great place to work. I’ve made life long friends and laughed and enjoyed every single day.

I really enjoyed my placement it was an amazing experience I would do it all again if I could. The confidence I have now is exactly what I wanted from this experience.
