Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Its been great so far, learned so much.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The responsibilities of the role are typical that of a site engineer civil engineer. I spend much of the time out on site, but at this point I have had limited full responsibility as usually I am either assisting other site engineers or others are double checking my work. Over time I have been trusted with more and more responsibility but it can be dependent on site requirements.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I feel like I contribute every day, there is great satisfaction with much of the tasks, as you can see the road being built in front of our eyes. I might set out for a road and then not enter a part of site for a while, to find the areas I've set out be completely different

I think Balfour Beatty has been really good for my career progressions, much of the knowledge I have gained could not be learned another way and I've been looked after throughout
