Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Really good. I am incredibly happy with my time here and excited to continue.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the change to it I have always been in design but constantly working on a new challenge.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am working very closely with parts and we all know each other well enough to seek the knowledge from each other.

The company has great benefits that I don't really use as much as I could be.

I feel that where I am is my future career and I want to stay doing what I am doing just move up the ladder. So very prepared.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

There are lots of times to chat to managers about individual training pretty much all the time as each line manager has a small team. The day to day role gives me experiences and a bank of knowledge that if done right forms a library to refer back to later.

Perfect the flexi-time is one of the biggest perks and I can work from home with some degree of freedom.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

We do have big team meeting and go on socials together, some people do not attend and we have a small office so people aren't always together.

The recruitment for me was unusual and I didn't really have an idea on what specific work I would be involved in.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Balfour Beatty?
Don't turn off a job with Balfour Beatty just if it isn't exactly what you want to do. With a foot in the door you can quite easily switch your job if you are not happy.
