Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Really good, lots of opportunity to learn from different teams as well
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy having a lot of responsibility and being able to work within different sections within the Commercial team. I am not restricted to what I can and can't do.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

If you ask to get involved with something even if it is high level, rarely will anyone say no.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The company car and all the benefits BB have to offer are good but maybe the grading isn't fair for the cars.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Pretty well equipped, the only responsibility/experience I would say is difficult to get is procurement.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Not all months are the same, some are very stagnant but overall pretty good, but you have to be proactive otherwise you will struggle to learn anything.

I would say the BBV early careers team can definitely try to engage more and hold workshops etc. It is very rare to hear from them.

Everyone is accepting and friendly. Any doubts or complaints against people are swiftly dealt with.

I am a part of Commercial, they do not get us involved but there is a community engagement team and newsletters posted on progress but these can get lost in a sea of emails.

Great place for development due to opportunity and the company's general attitude towards empowering early careers.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

It definitely didn't prepare me for how intense it would be right away, but this is something I enjoy. But it seems that the recruiters didn't know where I would be based until the very last minute. There wasn't much information being swapped.
