Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Being part of the Early Careers Programme has been a great opportunity as well. It’s allowed me to connect and network with other graduates who are at the same stage in their careers, share experiences, and build relationships across different parts of the business.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
One of the aspects I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to gain external experience with clients during the PCSA stage. Being involved early in the process allows me to build strong relationships, understand client priorities, and contribute to shaping solutions that meet their needs. This exposure has helped me develop confidence in communication, which are essential skills in pre-construction.
Another highlight has been participating in the Early Career Programme. A standout experience was the residential stay in the Lake District, where we explored different behaviour types and how they influence team dynamics. These insights have been invaluable in my day-to-day role, especially when coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
