Overall, how would you describe your experience at Premier Foods?
My time at Premier has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the chance to meet some genuinely great people who’ve supported me throughout. From an engineering perspective, I’ve learned a lot both technically and professionally. I’m getting exposure to a wide range of engineering systems and challenges, and I’ve been given a good level of autonomy to lead projects and develop myself. It’s been a great environment for growth and hands-on learning.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities involve delivering engineering projects, supporting operational improvements, and collaborating across departments to drive efficiency. I particularly enjoy the exposure I get to different areas of the business and understanding how various departments interact. It’s been a great opportunity to learn not just about engineering systems but also about the broader business context. I’ve also been actively investigating machines on site, which has helped deepen my technical understanding and problem-solving skills.

It’s a place where you get real exposure to engineering systems, autonomy to lead projects, and the chance to collaborate across departments. The learning curve is steep but rewarding, and the people make it a great environment to grow both professionally and personally.
