Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Premier Foods?
Good. Large company that has to move at a fast pace (FMCG), therefore gives you a great opportunity to learn and develop quickly!
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
- Monitoring brand performance
- Managing social media page and communicating with agencies that produce content -> outside of my comfort zone so challenging but enjoyable to execute impactful content.
- Leading on projects for EPD/NPD. Building rationale for these. -> this was my main interest / enjoyed the most as it feels so tangible.
- Supporting in brand days
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
4/5
It's what you make of it. Opportunities are there if you seek them out.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
2/5
No bonus despite contributing to the business, and fixed pay for all grads, not indicative of performance review. Equally, for being so close to London, you may expect slightly higher salary as most live in London.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
4/5
Lots of training days and opportunities to get involved in meaningful tasks, but it's what you make of it, you have too seek out being tasked with more.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
4/5
Several training days

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
4/5
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
4/5
positive atmosphere in the office. Opportunities to celebrate small / big wins.
How would you rate Premier Foods initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
Great! Lots of work streams / committees focused on improving company culture, well-being, equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, and environmental impact.
How would you rate Premier Foods CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
4/5
Multiple volunteer days, ESG strategies, but being such a large company, often progress is slow.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Premier Foods to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Being such a large company there is so much to learn from that will develop you / support career progression
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
4/5
More social media management than anticipated but that is because I am on a very new and socially active brand.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Premier Foods?
Look up the values on their website and ensure you can demonstrate / share examples of how you would align with them.
