Overall, how would you describe your experience at Premier Foods?
My experience at Premier Foods has been highly rewarding and developmental. I’ve gained strong, hands-on engineering and project management experience across multiple manufacturing sites, contributing to both reliability improvements and large-scale capital projects. The graduate programme offered excellent exposure to different brands, technical processes, and business functions, supported by structured learning, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities. It allowed me to take ownership of real projects, lead cross-functional teams, and make a tangible impact on operational performance while developing key leadership and communication skills.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Shared ownership of a business unit with 7 production manufacturing lines, focusing on technical reliability performance.
Planned and coordinated maintenance activities in collaboration with maintenance engineers.
Ordered and managed stock for critical spare parts to support maintenance operations.
Provided engineering support and implemented actions from operations-driven meetings.
Led reliability and OEE improvement projects, managing cross-functional teams of 5–10 employees.
Improved operators maintenance and training to complete previous engineering tasks
Graduate Projects Engineer (8 Months)
Developed large-scale CAPEX projects to support site investment opportunities.
Collaborated with suppliers to design and deliver turnkey engineering and improvement solutions.
Managed project timelines, key stakeholders, and financial investment tracking.
