Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Overall, my experience at Balfour Beatty has been very positive. I’ve had the chance to work on a range of challenging and rewarding projects, and I’ve learnt a great deal from my colleagues and managers. The focus on teamwork, safety, and delivering quality work stands out, and it’s been a good environment for developing my skills. Like any large company, there are areas that could be improved, such as communication at times, but overall it’s been a great place to work and to be part of meaningful project
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities include overseeing daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with design specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and monitoring progress against programme and budget. I’m also responsible for maintaining quality standards, resolving on-site issues, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
The parts of the role I enjoy most are being out on site, seeing projects come to life, and working closely with a team to solve problems and deliver high-quality results. I also enjoy the variety, no two days are ever the same and the sense of pride that comes with contributing to major infrastructure projects that make a real difference.
