Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role involved working with the US Banking team of analysts. I was assigned around 22 US Hilton properties and my role was to review these on a daily basis and match off the cash/credit transactions with the transactions received via the bank. If there was any discrepancies, my role was to contact the Directs of Finance of said property and come up with a solution so that the bank statements could be reconciled at month end.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. After an initial few months of training, my managers gave me full responsibility of these hotels, alike to all of the full time analysts.
