Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
Beyond the technical aspects, what stands out most is the culture at JLR. There’s a genuine sense of pride and purpose across the organisation, driven by the company’s ambitious vision and commitment to sustainability. I’ve had the chance to rotate across different teams, gaining exposure to diverse areas of the business and discovering where my passions lie. Overall, it’s been a fantastic place to start my career, and I feel well-prepared and inspired for the journey ahead.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
What I enjoy most about the role is the opportunity to work on innovative technologies that are shaping the future of mobility. Being part of a company that’s pushing the boundaries of electrification, autonomy, and connectivity is incredibly exciting. I particularly enjoy the problem-solving aspect—tackling complex technical challenges and seeing my contributions come to life in real vehicles is both motivating and rewarding. The supportive team environment and access to cutting-edge tools make every day a chance to learn and grow.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
What makes the experience even more rewarding is the supportive team culture. My colleagues are always open to new ideas and encourage me to take initiative, which has helped build my confidence and technical skills. Regular feedback, recognition for my contributions, and being included in key discussions have all reinforced that my work matters and that I’m making a tangible difference to the projects we deliver.

Whether it's coding, debugging, or collaborating with cross-functional teams, the learning is continuous and highly relevant. What stands out is the company’s openness to feedback and continuous improvement in this space. There’s a clear effort to listen to employees, celebrate different backgrounds and perspectives, and ensure that accessibility is embedded into both the physical and digital workplace. These initiatives not only foster a sense of belonging but also contribute to a more innovative and collaborative culture across the organisation.

What’s particularly impressive is how JLR integrates CSR into its broader business strategy, especially through its Reimagine plan, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2039. There’s also strong support for employee involvement in volunteering and charitable activities, which fosters a sense of purpose and pride among the workforce. Overall, JLR’s CSR efforts feel authentic and forward-thinking, making it a company that not only drives innovation but also strives to be a force for good.
