Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked at a site that focuses on Asset Management and Maintenance so I was required to work with the Central Maintenance Team in assisting clients with any damages or maintenance jobs. Additionally, I had to communicate upcoming and past events in the Newsletter. Tasks vary day to day and from Site to Site.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given a relative amount of responsibility within my placement but I was always provided with clear instructions and support to set me on the correct lines.

Yes, My excel skills have significantly improved as well as my communication skills. I have completed many training courses and gain confidence on many different softwares.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received an outstanding level of support from all areas of the business. the New Generation Talent Team were incredible in helping me settle into my role and providing me with different courses and calls during the initial starting period. I had one to one meetings with my Line manager on a regular basis.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture is very based on the people, everyone is very welcoming and passionate about the jobs that they do. Due to the global scale of DHL there is employees from very walk of life. DHL work extremely hard towards green initiatives and offer employees training courses to further their skills.
