Overall, how would you describe your experience at DHL?
My Experience at DHL has been amazing, my managers and colleagues have been super supportive and I have achieved so many milestones as a person and an employee.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I have done two different placements within the 2 year period of my scheme. Both were so different; First one consisted of looking after sites from a IT aspect so supporting with IT issues, systems and IT projects. Second one is in a central IT role so that's overlooking the business units and supporting with customer centricity initiatives and supporting with IT costings.

It's preparing me very well - what I am doing currently can be applied to many senior roles so its all about succeeding in my current role and seeing what else I need to add in order to get the next role.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I have developed or improved my skills through the role itself, so that is getting involved in a lot of projects where I think can support in my growth for my career development. We also have our talent tool which you can sign up to as many trainings in person or virtual to support our growth. Being an It graduate we have to do qualifications such as ITIL and Project management.

Everyone at the company is so supportive from managers, colleagues, mentors and buddy's. You create a development plan and you are supported with where you want to take your career.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to DHL?
Do research into Logistics - not many people know that area so researching into what that consists of is important. Making sure you are able to travel across the UK as there are so many sites around.
