How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My apprenticeship programme at Clarion is well-structured with strong support throughout. IWS provide clear guidance and resources, while my line manager offers regular feedback and opportunities to develop. Monthly 1-2-1s ensure I stay on track and can reflect on progress. The training provider's support is also effective, with learning directly linked to my role. This structure has helped me build skills step by step, take on more responsibility, and feel confident about my job progression.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a high level of support from my employer. Quarterly reviews provide structured feedback on my progress, while Apprenticeship Unwrapped events give me the chance to connect with other apprentices, share experiences, and learn more about opportunities within Clarion. The Apprenticeship Development Team is always available to address any concerns, and I’ve also received clear guidance on progression pathways into permanent employment. Altogether, this has made me feel supported, valued, and motivated throughout my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive strong support from my training provider when working towards my qualification, which has really helped me stay on track and confident in my learning. Key areas of support include:
Regular tutor guidance – my tutor is always available for advice, provides clear feedback on assignments, and helps me link learning directly to my role.
Structured learning materials – resources and workshops are well-organised, making it easier to understand and apply concepts in practice.
Progress reviews – regular check-ins ensure I’m meeting deadlines, while also giving me the chance to raise questions or discuss challenges.
Flexibility and encouragement – they adapt support when needed and keep me motivated by recognising progress and achievements.
Overall, the training provider is very supportive, and their approach makes the qualification manageable alongside my role at Clarion.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification has been very valuable in helping me perform better at Clarion. The skills I’ve learned throughout the apprenticeship, such as data analysis, project management methods, and process improvement techniques, directly apply to my day-to-day tasks. It has increased my knowledge, improved my confidence in using innovative tools, and taught me best practices that I can bring into my role. This combination of theory and practice makes me more effective and adaptable at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is a range of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at Clarion, which help with both personal development and team building. These include Apprenticeship Unwrapped events where apprentices network and share experiences, individual team bonding sessions, and Lunch and Learns for knowledge sharing. There are also volunteering opportunities such as the NSPCC programme, as well as organisation-wide Roadshows that bring colleagues together.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Clarion Housing Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Clarion Housing Group to a friend because it’s an organisation that truly invests in its people. The apprenticeship programme is well-structured, with strong support from line managers, training providers, and the Apprenticeship Development Team. There are clear opportunities for progression, regular feedback, and access to additional activities, including networking events, volunteering, and team-building sessions. Clarion also has a positive and inclusive culture, making it a great place to learn, grow, and build a career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Clarion Housing Group?
My main advice for anyone applying to Clarion Housing Group is to show enthusiasm for learning and development. Clarion values proactive people, so highlighting times when you’ve taken the initiative will stand out. For example, when I supported process improvements in my team, it showed I was keen to add value beyond my core tasks.
I would also recommend researching Clarion’s values and community focus, as being able to link your experience or passion for social impact to the organisation’s mission will strengthen your application. For instance, I referred to my interest in community projects during my interview, which aligned well with Clarion’s work in housing and sustainability.
Finally, make the most of opportunities to ask questions. When I asked about progression pathways during the application process, it demonstrated genuine interest in building a career here and helped me understand how the apprenticeship could support my long-term goals.
