Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role as an intern was to give the customers their vehicles making sure that they were comfortable and happy before leaving the car park as well as offering them all the options we offer and help show them controls if needed. I also helped with the admin side such as precomms,callback making sure that customers are happy before and after the hire

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given the responsibility of making sure that the customers I served were happy when leaving with the vehicle and making sure that the details are correct on our systems.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I’ve learnt a lot about customer based business and how to handle objections as well as learning more about the branch and the car fleet, interest per cars. I’ve also learned how to manage my work especially when it is busy and being able to come up with ways to help reduce the rush and making sure we’re keeping our customers happy.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support and guidance from my colleagues in the job. My managers always made sure that anything I was unsure of that they would help me understand it better and if I ever had any issues that they had my back. My colleagues were always making sure that I was comfortable and any issues they would help me out as much as possible. I would recommend this branch as they made me feel extremely welcome.
