Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My day to day consisted of sales and customer service with a strong focus on growth and learning the key skills needed for management throughout my career. Everyone has their own captaincy which is an area in the branch which they are in charge of. Mine was service for most of the summer, I aimed to improve the branches service score set by customer survey responses. This role allowed me to get hands on experience with management where I would delegate tasks throughout the branch to ensure that we have a strong consistent focus on our customer service. There are many different captaincy’s and the ability to put yourself forward for one regularly to enable you to grow and learn fundamental management skills was a great experience.

Yes our captaincies allowed us to get hands on management experience daily.

Lots, both HR and my area, branch, and assistant managers were great for advice and felt approachable throughout the summer.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was definitely hard working but caring and fun. We went for after work drinks and food occasionally and with everyone in the branch being so young despite being at varying points in careers everyone got on with one another.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed it and I will be transferring to a Birmingham branch part time alongside my final year of studies.

What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility

It is definitely not easy work and it is long hours but it rewards well with amazing opportunities for professional growth and career opportunities. The weekend work and early start and late finishes may be off putting to some people however enterprise were fully transparent throughout the whole recruitment process about this so if you enjoy talking and engaging with people and have a interest in sales and management it’s for you! Ask questions and just give things a try and you’ll pick things up quickly, everyone there has been in the same position as you and is keen to help.
